Quote a sign (letters / numbers / stencils)

What it is

The sign calculator prices cut acrylic letters, numbers and stencils. You enter what the customer wants, it works out the price (material, cutting, setup, finishing), and you push the quote onto a Pipedrive deal — where it joins the normal quote and invoice flow.

How to quote a sign

1. Open the sign calculator.
2. Enter the job:
   • the text (the word/letters), font, and letter height
   • material, thickness, colour
   • quantity
   • complexity (low / medium / high) and any finishing (edge polish, tape, engraving)
3. The calculator prices it — it nests the shapes onto the smallest suitable sheet and adds cutting time, a per-character setup, complexity/thickness surcharges, and finishing.
4. Click Push to Pipedrive — this creates or attaches to a deal and posts the quote as a pinned note on it.
5. From the deal, send it the normal way (see Quotes).

Gotchas

• Very large quantities are capped internally to protect the system — if a huge order won’t price, break it into smaller runs or ask Daniel.
• Change coming: the combined letters+stencil calculator is being split into a separate acrylic letters calculator and stencil calculator. If the screen you’re on looks different to this guide, that split may have landed.

Common questions

• Laser or router? The calculator chooses — laser for fine detail/letters, router for thick material and cutouts.
• Does it attach a PDF to the deal? It posts the quote as a note.

  TODO: confirm whether a visual/DXF PDF is also attached (tanks attach a PDF; the sign path may only post a note).
